Principal's Message

Mr. Tony Garcia

Dear Oaks Community,

It’s hard to believe how quickly this school year has flown by. As we move into the final stretch, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible accomplishments and milestones our students and staff have achieved.

First, I am proud to share the outstanding success of our band at the Laguna Beach Parade. Our talented students earned Sweepstakes, along with 1st Place Drum Major, 1st Place Color Guard, and 2nd Place Drill Team. These achievements reflect countless hours of dedication, practice, and school pride—congratulations to all involved!

Our AVID program also continues to thrive. We recently completed interviews with incoming 7th graders for next year, and the process was highly successful. We are excited to welcome a new group of motivated students into this exceptional program.

Additionally, we are honored to announce that Oaks Middle School has been recognized as a California Distinguished School. This prestigious designation highlights the hard work of our students, staff, and community in creating a culture of excellence and support.

Right now, many of our students are enjoying our annual Sacramento/San Francisco trip—an enriching experience that brings learning to life beyond the classroom. We wish them continued fun and safe travels.

As we look ahead, we are preparing for a strong showing on the upcoming CAASPP State Assessments. We are confident that our students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have worked so hard to build this year.

We are also excited for our upcoming end-of-year activities, including the 8th grade Knott’s Berry Farm trip, Field Day, and, of course, 8th Grade Promotion. These events are a wonderful way to celebrate a year of growth, achievement, and memories.

Thank you for your continued support of Oaks Middle School. It has truly been an incredible year, and we look forward to finishing strong together.

Sincerely,
Tony Garcia
Principal, Oaks Middle School
